    Hi Annie!

We are not sure we know exactly what you want to do.

If you have several forms and want to send them via different SMPT based on email that was specified in the form – then no, our plugin can’t do that.

But if you want to send the same form via different SMTP – then yes, you do that and it’s main purpose of plugin. Just create several Multi Mailer instances (login as admin, Settings -> MultiMailer, Add New button) and specify different SMTP for each of them. They will duplicate (not replace, it’s important) the email which will be sent by standard mail() function.

    Was it helpful to you?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thanks for answering my question.

I installed the plugin to see what you mean.
That might just be what I was looking for!

    To be clear:

    – A company (lets say http://www.company.com) has multiple departments.
    – Each department uses separate mails
    – all ending on the same site URL being: @company.com.

In order for all these accounts not going to spam I need to:

    – click on “add new”
    – set to “PHP mailer”
    – host and port will be the same because they all use the same domain/host
    – enter one of the mail accounts like: administration@company.com
    – use that password and save.

After that I add a new one again and do the same, except now for the other mail like “sales@company.com” and use that particular password and save.

Is that the correct way to handle this please?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Annie.

    Yep, it’s correct.

But remember about duplication. Each instance in MultiMailer will send duplicate of original email for specified emails.

If you created 3 different instances thru MultiMailer, for example:
    – Administration (for administration@company.com)
    – Marketing (for marketing@company.com)
    – Finance (for sales@company.com)
and someone filled out the form on your site (we assume that this form will use wp_mail(), see the first paragraph of Description or FAQ, in other case our plugin will not work) and submit the form, 4 emails will be sent (one via wp_mail() and three via Multi Mailer by one for each instance).

These e-mails will be sent to the recipients specified in the original form (1st email) and to the recipients specified in the TO field on the General Settings tab (three emails, see https://ps.w.org/scand-multi-mailer/assets/screenshot-2.png?rev=1805178 ).

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    That would be great.
Not sure if I understand the sending to all the mail addresses though.

    SCENARIO

I create 3 different contact forms with lets say Gravity forms:

    – One form only used on a page for the administration@company.com where administration@company.com is set as the mail to send notification of new message to.

    – One form only used on a page for the marketing@company.com where marketing@company.com is set as the mail to send notification of new message to.

One form only used on a page for the sales@company.com where sales@company.com is set as the mail to send notification of new message to.

In Multimailer I fill in that particular email per department and its Gravity form.

    09.02.2019-21.49.37

and in General settings like this:

    09.02.2019-22.02.08

    QUESTION:

If I set things up like the above, would MultiMailer still send the notification for administration also to sales and marketing please?

Sorry about all these questions, just want to make sure this will meet all my needs, because if I get it correctly, it looks that way and that would be great!

    Yes, it does.

You need a custom solution or other plugin.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Hmm, that would not be ideal then, too bad.

Thanks a lot for your kind replies and patience!
