Can I achieve this with the plugin?

    Hi,

    I am going to evaluate this plugin (and related premium offers) to check if it fits my needs. Briefly, I need to have a public site, and a member-only area where registered members can download files, read articles, etc.

    Is this achievable with WP_Members?

    Hi Fabio,

    Definitely start with the core plugin since it is free.

    The plugin will not handle the files (although you can put the links behind a login – but if the direct link is known, files would still be accessible). It only handles what WP contains within the post content. Restricting file access is a different process, and there is a premium extension for the plugin that does it. But you should be happy with the core plugin first before considering that.

    The plugin is basically designed to provide teaser content that leads to registration (user conversion). So if you’re looking for something that basically “hides” everything, that’s not really what the plugin is for (although it can do some of those things).

    I’d recommend going through the initial setup video in the plugin’s documentation. That will give you a better idea of what it does and how to set it up.
