Can Fourteen Extended customisation work on 2014 child theme Progeny MMXIV

hello friends
i plan to setup a magazine site soon using Progeny MMXIV theme,a Twenty Fourteen child theme because of some of it features.
my questions is can Fourteen Extended help align the theme to centre and also removed the left sidebar?
