• Hi,

Does this plugin have an option to translate the forms you created, for on a multi lingual website (field labels, place holders, thank you message, auto respond e-mail etc)? Ideally if it’s possible to translate with WPML.

Or does it mean you have to create a separate form for each language?

    Thanks
    JP

    Hello @jpnl

    Hope you’re doing well!

I am afraid the forms with this current version can’t be translated, however, our developers are reviewing compatibility with WPML plugin.

What can be done, is to clone a form, and translate the form fields, buttons to your language. On a page where the form is, add a this form’s shortcode to replace another shortcode on a translated version.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

    Cheers,
    Nastia

    Hi Nastia,

Thank you for your reply. The ‘problem’ with cloned form is that submissions are captured separately per form. If you have a contact form for example, you want all submission to be captured together regardless of the language. That would be possible if can have a single form translated in multiple languages in stead of cloned copies.

    Thanks
    JP

    Hello JP,

Thanks for the further explanation – at the moment it’s not possible to translate forms in Forminator this way.
But our developers are in touch with WPML developers – they are checking what are the best ways to make Forminator compatible with WPML.

We can’t give any ETA for this change in Forminator – so right now it is only possible with cloning forms like Nastia advised.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
