    Hello,

I usually manage CloudFlare settings using its own Dashboard on http://www.cloudflare.com.

Does the CloudFlare dashboard make the plugin redundant and can I delete the plugin?
    Or
Does the plugin add value by ‘optimizing’ WordPress installation and should I retain it?

    Can someone here please advise?

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

The plugin provides the following benefits:

    – One-click WordPress-optimized settings
    – Web application firewall (WAF) rulesets specific to WordPress (paid plans only)
    – Automatic cache purge on website updates
    – GUI within the WordPress plugin dashboard to toggle Cloudflare settings

The plugin is not required – if you would prefer to use the Dashboard to manage your settings that is fine.

    I just noticed this link.

It recommends installing the plugin to enable HTTP/2. Is that still valid? Or Can I configure HTTP/2 without the plugin?

I just want to say thank you to the person asking this question and to the person who responded. I too tend to go to CloudFlare when I need to do anything related to my CDN. I wrongly believed that the plugin was necessary on my wordpress site for the CDN to operate properly. I realize I was wrong, which is a great relief, because the plugin stopped showing any data a while back. So I don’t need to worry about this any more.

Thank You to the above contributors. I too had problem with Cloudflare plugin:

    Blank Settings page.

Even though I had already on previous day installed Cloudflare and CloudFlare Flexible SSL on four different sites with NO problems.

But the latest install produced blank setting page.

Based on your above comments, I don’t really need the plugin that much, if at all. If there IS a good reason to keep and maintain it, I’d be happy to hear about it! … Although some might say I have too many plugins installed as it is!!!

So Thank You for the clarification.
    Take Care,
    David Scott Lynn
