Can anyone tell me how to use the featured content slider option in Brunelleschi

I have installed the Brunelleschi theme and one of the options is to override the header with a featured content slider. It blacked out my header (as expected), but I didn’t see any way to choose content to appear in the slider. Is this a separate plug-in or widget?
