  • 1. cPanel is not your “hosting” – it is the admin interface to interact with your site. Simply: the admin tool for your site.
    2. You have now this header image (.png)
    3. Upload your imgae (.gif or whatever it is) to the folder where your present header image is
    4. Search diligently in your header.php file and/or style.css file and find all the references to the existing image
    5. Change all those references to point to your new image
    It should work…

    ok, I uploaded it to /home2/kickfien/public_html/wp-content/themes/Evo, but it still does not seem to work, and I dont understand steps 4, and 5…please explain

    You have to change EVERYWHERE it says “header.png” and make them all say “header.gif”.

    in every file?
    Like there is one called header-shadow.png, so I change that to say gif?
    And did I upload it in the right section?

    No. You only change the ones that say exactly header.png. If the original path to header.png was to an “images” folder or a “graphics” folder, then that’s where you need to put your header.gif for the change to work.

    well, its in a template forum, is that ok?

    The original path is in my previous post above.
    I put it there to make it easier for you where to upload your own .gif image.
    However, the image might be called either from the header.php file or the style.css. file. You should search in those two files at least and replace the original image file name with your own.

    hmm, still does not work..I dont know what I am doing wrong thats what it looks like so far, got the evox off it

    If you could just read the stylesheet of the theme you are using – would make a huge difference. Quote from your stylesheet:
    /*———– Header ———–*/
    /*–Just drop a 778px*98px image named ‘header.png’ in the theme folder an it will be displayed in your blog header—*/

    And a few line below there is a line like this:
    background: url('header.png') no-repeat bottom center;

    If your header image is a gif, all you have to do:
    1. upload it where it says in the instructions above AND
    in the background line change .png .. to .gif.

    That’s what I was telling you since yesterday.
