Support » Fixing WordPress » Can a tracking code cause currently unreachable error

  • Hi I am having an issue with one of my clients websites. When you type in the domain the error: currently unreachable will briefly show up and then the website will load. It is not just an issue on my computer it happens to my client and his customers (it only happens sometimes though) I have troubleshooted absolutely everything from hosting to plugins to dns and ssl and can not figure out the issue. It then dawned on me the issue started right after my client had me put a tracking code into his site (it is from a smaller advertising company because he can not use big name companies due to he sells legal CBD products) I was just wondering could this tracking code be causing the issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I pointed Pingdom tools at your site and it failed completely from a California Server. I retested a couple times and gave up.

Switched to a DC server and it passed the second time but just barely.

    Take a look. https://tools.pingdom.com/

I’m kinda leaning toward Photon (Jetpack) having too big an image file. But there are some issues there for sure that you might want to look at.

As to the images. take a look at ‘Smush’ from WPMUdev https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/

That one ‘plant image’ looked blurry when it first loaded, too. That might have been a symptom.
