Hey idogenealogy,
Great to hear from you!
Okay let me make sure I understand what you’re saying:
1.) You’re using a theme which has a prominent Featured Slider
2.) This Featured Slider pulls content from pages, and you can tell the slider which pages to use.
3.) You want the slider to display content from your Totally Booked content.
Sound right?
If so, then YES, there’s a way to do this. In fact, there’s probably more than one 😛 Here’s the system-based solution I can suggest, and if Ben has a more elegant code-based solution to add, I’ll let him chime in:
You can create a page for your category and then embed your category in that page via TB shortcode. Then just call that page in your slider.
So for instance, say you have a Genre called Historical Fiction set up, within TotallyBooked.
If you go to your TotallyBooked menu, and go to Genres, you’ll see a list of those you’ve set up.
And on the right side of each Genre, you’ll see the shortcode for that Genre. For example, next to your Historical Fiction genre, you might see: [tb_genre_gallery slug=”historical-fiction”]
So! Create your http://www.yoursite.com/HistoricalFictionBooks/ page, then embed this shortcode in that page. Then call this page in your slider.
Let me know if this helps, or if I can give you further clarification. We’re here to help!!
Cheering you on,
Kelli
