Hi Oskar Kardemark,
Try
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
See this article on how to find Javascript errors in the console. https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors
Hi!
Thank you for your answer.
I deactivated all plugins like you suggested, but no luck.
Then I was a bit afraid to switch to the default theme. If I do so, will I be able to get my website back looking like before??
Regards / Oskar Kardemark
99% of the time there will be no problem with switching your theme as the settings are in the database.
Hi again,
I switched of my theme, but that was not the problem. And now I can´t seem to get the theme back…
First, how do I get my theme back?
And secondly, how will I be able to upload images?
Regards / Oskar Kardemark
How did you switch your theme?
Go to wp-admin > Appearance and see if you can activate your theme there.
I went to the “Halo panel” and pressed “Reset to defaults” at the bottom of the page. I managed to get the Halo theme back, but it in no way looks like it did before.
So now I have more problems..And the original problem still exists; How will I be able to upload images?
Also, my media library appears to be empty although I know there should be lots of images there.
I went to the “Halo panel” and pressed “Reset to defaults” at the bottom of the page.
I’m afraid you did the one thing you shouldn’t have. By resetting the default values you have changed the settings of your theme to their default values. Switching themes means you have to activate another theme.
Do you have any database backups of your site from before you reset the settings?
If not, ask your host if they make automatic backups of your database.
