    I’m using the latest versions of Campaign Monitor and Contact Form 7.

    When someone signs up for our newsletter, they’re successfully added to Campaign Monitor, but receives the following error when clicking Submit:

    “Sender’s message was failed to send”

    For quite some time we have not had the Mail fields configured in the Contact Form 7 settings, and it seems this is the cause of the error. If I fill out the To, From, Subject and Message Body fields, the error does not occur when filling out the form and, instead, is replaced by “Sender’s message was sent successfully.”

    My question is whether or not this should be expected behavior. My understanding is that Campaign Monitor should override the need for the Mail settings.

    Can someone please advise?
