Support » Plugin: Advanced Custom Fields » Callbacks from Gravity Forms?

  • Resolved Marj Wyatt

I’m trying to create a member directory. My users are not sophisticated so they will be entering their information through a Gravity Form that I’ve created.

I added a custom post type to the theme for this and Gravity Forms is posting the meta data gathered through your plugin to the database properly.

My confusion is based on the fact that I cannot see the data in the custom meta boxes that your plugin adds to the custom post type. I have not altered the PHP that the plugin generates in any way.

When I investigate the generated code, I do not see how it could be calling back to the edit post screen. I base this comment on this link from Codex:

Maybe you can explain what I’m missing, please?

  • After digging more deeply into Gravity Forms, I found that I could dynamically assign custom fields with proper callbacks through their tool so I have uninstalled your plugin.

I would like to inform you that the de-installation of the plugin did not clean up the custom fields that had been created and I had to dig around in the database to find the post meta and manually remove those custom fields. Had I been less adept, this could have been a problem.

You might want to look at a “clean up” function when your plugin is uninstalled. A less experienced user will have problems with this.
