I'm sorry if this issue has been discussed, but I'm not an experienced enough programmer to know what I'm looking for anyway.

I am on GoDaddy with their WordPress hosting. I purchased a website from someone who sent me the website files and the .sql database files. According to GoDaddy, everything is set up properly, but I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_multisite() in /home/content/01/6527801/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 505

I am running a single domain, single site on this WordPress hosting account. No multisites.

GoDaddy tells me that this is an issue between different versions, but the site was supposedly built on the latest version, and I believe GoDaddy is running on version 3.0.1. Their support tried a workaround with me (renaming the themes folder to themes1) but that didn't help.

Any ideas? Unfortunately, I'd need pretty detailed instructions of anybody does have a clue as to what's happening in order to fix it.

  2. Disable the plugins, not the themes.

Hi, sorry, can you be a little more specific for me on how I accomplish that, especially within GoDaddy?
