CaliforniaConservative.org - FINALLY done. (5 posts)

Yep yep. All the inane questions I've been asking for the last 2 weeks have finally culminated in the launching of this site.

The client contacted me from seeing my work on some other high-profile political blogs and non-blog sites, and asked me to put together a hybrid blogsite for them. They were going to go with MT (booooo hisssss) and I talked them into going with WP 1.5.

The site features a complete "from scratch" theme (designed by yours truly) and the following plugins/features:

    1) 6 rotating header images using the "Random Banner" plugin.

    2) Over 30 rotating quotes using the "Witty Text" plugin

    3) Some small tweaks using the "Category Visibility" plugin.

    4) More tweaks using the "Show on Front Page" plugin

    5) Static content management using the "EzStatic" plugin.

    6) Recent Entries listed using "Customizable Post Listings" plugin.

    7) BackEnd image management using "IImage Browser" plugin.

    8) Spam control using "Spam Karma" plugin.

    9) Plugin management using "WP Plugin Manager".

Special thanks to Minna for her "display category description" hack.

This site is brand new, so there's minimal content. Also, the client went a little crazy with the affiliate programs/advertising and blog listing stuff, so don't blame me for that. ;)

With all that said, let me present CaliforniaConservative.org. Take a look and let me know what you think. :)

    Danke schon.

I've enjoyed working with WordPress in the design of this site so much that I've decided to scrap the CMS I was using for doing the redesign of ArmageddonDesign.net and am going to use WP 1.5 for the whole site. :D
