    Using the Calendar widget. By default when you click on a date, it shows all events on that day and the entire text of the event.

    Any quick/easy way to change it so it only lists the event, the timeframe (if entered), and a link? By having the full text, it is causing the site to be very long to display all of it.

    You can customize all of the templates for displaying events at My Calendar > Template Manager. You’ll want to customize the template for the mini calendar.
