   yellow). Is there an option Im not seeing somewhere?

    Yes, there is a way: modifying with the file /includes/css/events_manager.
   css

 * Hi,
 * You can also used your theme style.css and used chrome > right click Inspect 
   Element (inspect the html of the calendar then used it’s css class or id)
