Calendar Plugin that won't slow down backend?

    I have tried several calendar plugins and they slow down my dashboard so much that it takes several minutes to open each tab. I need to be able to use a calendar plugin AND be able to work on my site. Any suggestions for a good one.

    I really like All-in-One Event Calendar by Timely, and The Events Calendar. So if I could just fix the issue with those that would work too.
