There are a few things that I just cant seem to understand.

    1) I added the events calendar to my website. When calendar is enabled it can be viewed on this page http://74.220.215.81/~jsaorg/betheme/events/

i did not create a page called events but the event calendar can be viewed at /events.

where do I edit the sub menu image if i did not create the page? in other words how do i edit the sub header image on this page http://74.220.215.81/~jsaorg/betheme/events/ ?

    2) how do I add the calendar to a page that I created?
    3) How do I add the calendar to a page that i created with the list view list this page? http://74.220.215.81/~jsaorg/betheme/events/list/

I have tried a few short codes but it just don’t seem to be working. Am i doing something wrong ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @juniew!

The Events Calendar creates a view at /events/ for you, but it’s not a regular WordPress Page you can edit. I’m not sure what you mean by “sub-menu image” but if you need more control over the display, you’ll likely need to use a shortcode on a page you create.

The Events Calendar PRO comes with several:

or if you’re just looking for a shortcode on a page you create, there’s another The Events Calendar Shortcode plugin which gives a few designs you can use (like a calendar and a default list view)

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for pointing that out Brian!

@juniew, Brian is correct – shortcodes are actually only available in Events Calendar Pro, unless you go with a third-party plugin as he mentioned.

Regarding editing the events page, our themer’s guide has some info on customizing events templates, and our functions list should be helpful with this as well.

Hey there! This thread has been inactive for a while so we’re going to go ahead and mark it Resolved. Please feel free to open a new thread if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
