Hi there, I’ve had the Events calendar installed for awhile now and have had one issue that was resolved (year showing 2020 in 2021). After that, smooth sailing.

For some reason, I am having all sorts of odd buggy issues today after trying to add a new event. I disabled plugins to make sure there wasn’t any oddities there, but the issues persist. I’ll list them below:

    1. When creating an event, clicking the “event date” date picker does not display a calendar or indicate how to format the date to prevent an error message to properly format date with date picker.

    2. Published events do not populate.

    3. The publish date is decades off (which may be because the error above is preventing this page from actually publishing). It is showing 1970 instead of the publish date when trying to view the page.

The website itself is up to date and managed monthly for security and performance. The only thing I can think is that maybe the plugin is losing it’s compatibility with the Divi Builder?

If you have any idea what has possessed my Events Calendar, please let me know!

    Thank you 🙂

This issues definitely appears to be incompatibilities with the Divi Builder. Should I message Divi about this? Thanks again.

  • Hi,

I think the latest update 5.9.11 has caused javascript conflicts with a range of other plugins, including Divi. A site that I manage is having similar issues, related to a clash between the plugin update and Advanced Custom Fields Pro. The date/time pickers no longer work and it is impossible to save dates/times in events. If you can roll back to 5.9.10 safely that would be my advice. Unfortunately the site I manage is on hosting that keeps plugins up to date, so if I roll back it’ll just auto update again. I hope the plugin developers resolve this soon as event booking is the core business on the site I manage.

I’m having the same issue on one of my sites. The date picker + locations aren’t working when adding a new event.

I see these errors in the dev console:

Ah, that would make sense. In the meantime, the workaround I am using to create a new event (in case anyone needs to before the developers can fix), turn off your Divi Builder for Events (Divi > Theme Options > Builder), then create a new event + fill in the event plugin info (date picker should work now with the builder disabled), then schedule/publish/save draft, etc., and then go back and turn the builder on for events.

This should workaround, while not idea, did the trick for now.

I am also getting this error. Im also seeing similar errors with the calendar.
