Two problems with shipping. Both issues persisted with all other plugins deactivated.

Firstly – When purchasing 3, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, or 13 items (I did not test past 14 as it was pretty disheartening), user cannot calculate shipping. 1 item, 2 items, 4 items? Everything works perfectly fine. This is clearly a huge problem, as many of my customers would like to purchase 3, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, or 13 items. I had this issue before. It was a bug in WP E-commerce, and the next roll out fixed it.

Secondly – Shipping to other countries apparently doesn’t work, when it did previously. All target markets are selected, without apparent effect. I have to hope international customers e-mail me so I can set them up with a workaround that “ignores” shipping, or send a paypal invoice. This complicates my bookkeeping, takes up more time, and loses sales as well.

  • Issue 1:
What shipping method have you got set up, and with what config – can you detail it – or provide a screenshot?

    Issue 2:
What do you mean by “doesn’t work”. Can you provide some steps to reproduce, and explain at which point it doesn’t do what you expect? – What does it do at this point instead?

    issue 1)
I use USPS shipping, selected for Priority shipping only, although for some reason when international shipping DID work, it added the option of first class all by itself. Shipping settings are “enabled”, my Shipping Origin Zipcode/Postcode is 43223, and my city is columbus. The whole shebang works perfectly fine if you’re ordering 1 or 2 things.

    Issue 2)
The latest unhappy customer is from Canada. So I add one random item to my shopping cart, and try to check out like a Canadian. I change the country to Canada, the state to Ontario, the random zip code to M1S 7U8, hit calculate. It thinks about it, and you end up looking at the exact same screen. No way to calculate shipping or continue along in the checkout process.

Well I guess the next step is, hiring somebody to fix this mess. This is killing me and with Christmas around the corner I don’t have the time to move thousands of products to another shopping cart program.

The last time I tried to contact private programmers from the long list available on the getshopped site, I got exactly two responses of “can’t help” and crickets chirping elsewhere.

Is there a CURRENT list somewhere of savvy individuals willing to be hired on?

No, because the one at getshopped doesn’t currently have my listing.
Problems with the plugin that runs it, apparently.
If you contact me I *will* reply.

I hope this got resolved. Did you manage to get hold of the whitelamp team (a great team!!!) or find another fix?
