Title: Caching won’t run Last modified: March 15, 2021 --- # Caching won’t run * Resolved [RobotFX](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wattaman/) * (@wattaman) * [5 years, 5 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/caching-wont-run/) * I have the Enable page caching enabled, and every time I click the preloading Run now button there is a popup message stating that ‘Page cache is disabled.’ Also, there is no purge cache for the pages in the admin bar menu, only for the minified files. So I’m assuming that for some reason caching pages doesn’t work. Why this could happen? I remember this working a while ago (Last preload finished at 11:30 am, February 9, 2021), until I have disabled page caching because it had some issues with logging in/out (probably due to not setting any rules for page caching in the advanced tab). Now I would like to use it again. It might have happen before the latest WP update, not exactly sure when it worked. * Can this happen because the nginx is configured to store the cache files in the/ var/run/ folder instead of a physical location?
