Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » Caching of 404 pages

  • Hello awesome developers!
We love your plugins and they always doing great job 🙂
One question regarding WP Super Cache plugin.
We found that it caches 404 pages. Is there any solution for that? Tried to find in setting and exploring the web, but haven’t found any solution yet.

    Please advise.

  • Hello @arminius25

WPSC checks 404 pages via two ways: function is_404 or HTTP status code 404. There aren’t options to force caching, but it’s possible with filter wpsupercache_404. Default value is false which means – ‘no caching’.

It’s possible that your theme shows 404 template, but without set_404.

You can define constant DONOTCACHEPAGE to prevent caching for some pages. If you provide more details, maybe I can find better solution.

    Regards,
    Sasa
