Using version 3.1.12 of plugin on WP 5.8.
I have been trying out the plugin, measuring the results of the various cache and minification settings. At first, everything seemed to work normally. But then, following no identifiable change, enabling the cache resulted in the page being displayed similarly to:

    kw6(YZk>fzڒ,ۉcoK,KMiI etc.

Disabling the cache resulting in normal page disable.

    I have tried the following:
    – purging the cache
    – wiping all settings
    to no avail.

The problem exists for both desktop browsers (Chrome and Firefox) and for Android phone. However, when I changed the settings to enable separate caches for mobile devices, the pages were then correctly displayed on the phone, while the page on the desktop device remained incorrect.

Since everything worked OK at first, I assume there is no specific conflict with any other plugins or the theme. There are no other caching or optimization plugins activated.

try disabling GZIP compression for cached pages (if such setting exists for this plugin)

Yes, it does indeed look like a compressed file that the browser is not decompressing.
Anyway, the plugin does NOT allow me to disable compression.
It turns out that after disabling all plugins and then re-enabling them one by one, the problem disappeared.
This is particularly disturbing, because it indicates that the problem has to do with the order in which events happen, something that is hardly under my control and exceedingly difficult to try to duplicate.

@josiah-s-carberry Glad to hear the issue is not fixed, if you have any more questions please feel free to write back to us.

Of course I still have a question. What caused the problem?
