• Resolved WP Turned UP

    (@wpturnedup)

Hello. Since the update, previously cached images continue to appear even when/if they are replaced with a new image.

After doing the plugin deactivation dance, I found that when I deactivate Imagify, the cache successfully clears and the correct images appear.

    Thank you!

    Hey @wpturnedup

Sorry to hear about the problem.

Can you tell us what cache system you use? Is there any chance to reproduce the problem on a page?

We are happy to test this on our end as well and see what could be wrong.

    All the best!

Hello. The only caching in play is server-side, with Kinsta hosting. About the only other thing, I think I can offer is to do a screen recording at some point and/or test this in staging, where caching is not in play.

    Thanks for replying!

We can just close this and I’ll ping you guys again if I see this. Seems to be okay, today, oddly enough. : )

Hello. This popped up again today. I’m able to easily reproduce this for you.

Scenario: Blog page (grid) is showing old featured images for single posts.

Here is a video showing the issue.

    Thank you!

    Hey @wpturnedup

This is weird, the only thing that comes to my mind is that images for these posts have been changed in the past, so something during the process went wrong.

I guess all other images (for other posts) were optimized as well, right? Also, if you replaced featured images, do these have the same title? Could be browser caching related.

All in all, it would be best to step in and investigate, as there could be other possibilities. Please send us access details via our support channel (if you haven’t already), and we will do our best to fix it as soon as possible.

    Best Regards

Hello. Tinkered a bit with filenames on the images. I think you’re right about the browser cache. No matter how many times I clear it, the image flip flops back and forth between the correct one and the old one.

Anyway, I browsed on a completely different network and all looks fine.

We can close this. Thank you!
