[resolved] Cache using get/set_transient instead of writing to a file. (3 posts)

You've gone to lengths in order to properly cache remote calls, which is great, but the way you're storing the cache is redundant and slow. I recommend caching to WordPress transient which would store the serialized data in the database rather than a file.

Your widget on my server takes up to 5 seconds to output the instagram feed.

I have added get_transient to update 1.2.7. You are certainly right. It is much faster. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.
