# Cache Size Warning Email Response

 * Hi,
    I am relatively new to WP and trying to work on SEO and Cacheing for one
   of my client sites. After installing Autoptimize I have received my first email
   informing me that the Cache size is getting large. I wondered whether anyone 
   could recommend a method to automatically delete the cache or any other actions
   that should be taken? The site is using a template with the Premium Coding editor.

 * well, as per [the FAQ](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/faq);
    * untick“
   also aggregate inline JS” if you have that on * if not also untick “also aggregate
   inline CSS” if you have that on * if the issue persists if those are unticked
   and you use Avada or Divi or ELementor (potentially other themes/ plugins too)
   you might also have to add `wp-content/cache` or `wp-content/uploads` to the 
   comma-separated CSS optimization exclusion list.

 * I did read that and will certainly give that a try. So there’s no way to automatically
   delete the cache at all?

 * No, there is no automatic cache purge because that risks breaking your site severely
   if a page cache would have HTML that still has references to the deleted Autoptimized
   files.

 * OK, thanks for that reply. I suppose it is a matter of incorporating an extra
   exercise into client Hosting Packages…?

 * Problem is there are so many different types of page caches that I cannot integrate
   with all to clear the page cache when AO’s gets cleared.
 * Moreover [a fast growing cache is a canary in a coal-mine](https://blog.futtta.be/2016/09/15/autoptimize-cache-size-the-canary-in-the-coal-mine/),
   so it’s better to avoid the canary dying to begin with 😉
