• Using WP 4.9.8 and Super Cache 1.6.4.

The cache is not deletable when the config file is not writeable. Why is this?

Because on my test/production environment i don’t want the config file to be writeable on the server.

  • It’s because all buttons (WP Super Cache page – admin dashboard) have ‘disabled’ class (if config file is RO) but I think that button on admin bar (admin dashboard not fronted) should purge entire cache regardless filemode of config file. Did you try this button?
