Cache not clearing once checked

    When checking new guestbook entries, the cache isn’t being cleared, so I have to clear it myself (I’m using WP Rocket). While this isn’t the end of the world, it would be good if this plugin could invoke a cache clear, like when a page, post, or WP comment is posted. That way the “check” truly is automated and makes the guestbook entries go live.

    Has this been explored and ruled out as not viable already?

    Hi Kev,
    There is a function that clears cache. It clears the standard WordPress cache and has support for a few plugins.
    I think WP Rocket is a commercial plugin and I don’t have it here. I do see more people using it. You could send the zipfile of that plugin to marcel@timelord.nl and then I can take a look. That way I can call a function from that plugin and test if it works.

    Hi Kev,
    Thank you for the plugin files.
    The license could not be activated, that might be because the domain I test on is not in DNS.

    I did add support for WP Rocket in the cache function. If you want, could you test the development version? You can download that here:

    Not many things have been changed and it should be fine, I am just waiting for more changes to make a release.

    Hey Marcel,

    Thanks for looking at this. I’ve just tested it on my staging site and everything worked as expected – once I approved, I refreshed the front end (just F5 NOT CTRL+F5) and I saw the new entry.

    I’ll wait for the next stable release before updating my live site.
