cache issue with amR iCal Events

I have the “amr ical events” plugin on one of my sites pulling events from a google calendar and displaying them as posts on my site. Everything was working fine for a few months but today I looked and the plugin isn’t working poperly and it is throwing me this error.

Error opening or creating the cached file

Unable to load or cache ical calendar http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/public/basic.ics

Some sort of caching issue but I can’t figure out why.

Well it is telling you exactly what is wrong.

First it looked for a cached version of the ics file and didn’t find it, or couldn’t access it.

Then it tried to refetch the orginal ics file with this url:

http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/public/basic.ics

Now that does not look correct – too generic – Google calendar ics url usually look something like this:

https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/0bajvp6gevochc6mtodvqcg9o0%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

So i’d check that your ics url – check that it is public and accessible without you being logged into google

It is probably that rather than a file permissions error.
