• I use it with Fast Velocity Minify plugin on small, basic websites and it works like a charm. You should definitely give it a try before trying large plugins. It is simple, small and works well. Would be great if they could also add an option to manually define attributes to consider for WebP image lookup (some builders use data-src or data-img-src to load images.)

Thank you for the feedback! We sincerely appreciate it. Currently Cache Enabler will replace any data-* attribute with the available WebP formatted image. I’ve added your feature request for a way to manually define the exact data-* attributes that are considered when converting image URLs to WebP.

Hi @coreyk, thanks for considering it! Previously I have had to edit code to add more tags, so hopefully I will no longer have to go down that road 🙂

By default Cache Enabler will convert data-src and data-img-src attributes as any data-* attribute is converted. Now support to control the attributes that Cache Enabler converts was added in version 1.6.1 through the cache_enabler_convert_webp_attributes filter hook. If you end up needing any assistance with this feel free to open a new topic in the support threads at any time.
