# Cache clearing and preload

 * WP-Optimize is the 4th plugin I have tried for caching, and so far it is clearly
   the best. The preloading works far better and cleaner than the other plugins.
   I’m focused on caching because I have Autoptimize, but may consider switching
   those optimizations to WPO later.
 * I read the FAQ which was very informative, but still have a few questions.
 * 1. When the cache is cleared by one of the actions (e.g., Autoptimize clearing
   its cache, which happened this morning), it seems the preload doesn’t kick in
   to replace it. Is there a way to make that happen? Ideally a setting but maybe
   some hook action after clearing?
 * 2. The settings for GZIP and static file caching say “GZIP compression is already
   enabled” and “Browser static file caching headers are currently enabled.” Is
   that because I have that in .htaccess already, and WPO is detecting that?
 * 3. Does browser static file caching cover all file types or just the html files?
 * thanks

    > In this case you’ll have to manually Preload
   the cache as automatic preloading is not a feature yet.
