# Cache and form hang

 * For quite a while a problem has occured when updating plugins, and without exception
   when updating WP: All forms (including WPMUdev Forminator) stop working. They
   throw an error and the messages don’t get trhrough.
    Effective solutions: Clear
   cache in Hummingbird. Or deactivate Hummingbird. Same behaviour on about 10 sites(
   with similar setups) This SEEMS like a Hummingbird problem but maybe it could
   also be related to caching some other way, but where? And how to handle it? Similar
   experiences? Thanks

 * I hope you are doing good today.
 * Could you check in:
    1. Hummingbird -> Caching -> does “Clear full cache when
   post/page is updated” is enabled?
 * 2. In your Forminator form Behavior settings does “Load form using AJAX” is enabled
   as well and see if this helps?

 * Thanks for coming back to me, Kris
    1. Some forms were already set here. I doesn’t
   seem totally logical, though, since the problem occurs when updating plugins,
   not posts or pages. 2. All forms were set to load from AJAX …but we’ll give it
   a try. I’ll be back

 * Thank you for the update.
 * Could you enable the “Clear full cache when post/page is updated” in case it 
   is not enabled in Hummingbird?
 * I tried to replicate the issue following some steps:
 * – Downgraded WordPress to 5.2
    – Added a Form to a page and made sure it was 
   cached by Hummingbird – Tried to update the WordPress,
 * On my testes, I enabled Preload cache and disabled “Clear full cache when post/
   page is updated” to force the cache and the issue but it worked fine.
 * Are you doing manual updates or any automated update method?

 * Thank you
    I wanted to see if some further plugin updates triggered the problem
   again (and in between the captcha stopped working on sime sites) – but it seems
   to work fine now. Thanks for your help Kjetil
