Support » Plugin: Content Aware Sidebars - Unlimited Widget Areas » C.A.S. does not filter by condition

I am using Content Aware Sidebars and attempting to create sidebars for different pages which show posts from different authors, or alternatively posts from different categories.

When I set one up (Coordinator Posts) with the Meet ALL of these conditions->Taxonomies/Categories-> Coordinator and add he Recent Posts widget to the sidebar, the sidebar then displays the number of posts selected but from all categories and all authors.

I change it up and do by author instead of categories, then select just a single author and I again receive all posts from all authors and categories.

I read through the FAQ and noted there may be a plugin conflict so deactivated every plugin I could without significantly impacting the site.

The site is built on a Twenty-Seventeen Child theme. The pages are built using Elementor.

I could really use some guidance to make this plugin work for me as it is important to show different posts on on different pages depending on the author or the category.

    Thanks

    Thanks for reporting this.

It sounds like you want a widget to display posts on different conditions/with different categories. That is out of the scope of CAS; this plugin allows you to display a sidebar (and any widget) on different conditions, but it does not change the output of the widgets themselves.

You may want to look into a plugin such as this one:

    I hope this helps!
