# Bypass

 * Seems that all sites have been blocked, must of incorrectly entered *.*.*.* into
   the list.
    When I use the bypass I can get to the site but cannot log in to fix
   the issue. How can I login using bypass?

 * I was able to get my site working again by having the host admin delete ip_filter…
   
   The bypass function will not let the admin login to fix the issue.
 * And the issue was, I entered too many values in a single line that ended in a
   wildcard (*)
 * I meant to filter the IP address 121.5.*.*
    but I entered 121.5.*.*.* (too many
   wildcards
 * That translated to:
    121.5.*.* *
 * and that last wildcard blocked EVERYONE!!!
 * Lessons learned:
    1) Be careful and check the “translated” window before exiting
   2) The “bypass” function does not help if you have blocked your own ip address
