BxSlider Problems

I am trying to set up a gallery where we have a selection of thumbnails that you can click to see the full size image – I have found BxSlider plugin and followed the instructions but I just can’t get it to work right!
Can someone tell me what I need to put where in order to get it operational?
I’m not sure where all the different bits of code should be going…
any help would be great!
