• I purchased the Pro version in a rush as I needed to migrate Advanced Custom Fields data on a rush project. I understood from the website that the product would work on unlimited domains. When it asked for a preferred domain, I used my own website domain. When I tried to install the product on the client’s domain, the product would not activate because it did not match my own domain.

I went back to one of the four emails sent from Smackcoders when I purchased the product it mentioned needing to submit other domains so I went to the account I created.

While you can install on unlimited sites, you cannot immediately license a site. I received the following in an email from their help desk:

Which domain you want install into our plugin. Please mention the domain name and also your phpinfo link. We will provide the new license

Sending a link to a phpinfo file to a stranger is frankly absurd and a huge security risk. Further when I went back this morning to read reviews of product, I came across the following response to another person who has a similar opinion of the product:

We should take this further to all channels and levels with all proof we got against your claiming note that may have sensitive information’s also, if not responded.

Any developer who would threaten to expose sensitive information about a client should be avoided. I am currently seeking a full refund from PayPal and will be using another product to accomplish the task at hand.
