    Hi,

When connecting “Shopping” with WooCommerce in the web story setting, the “Shop Now” button will bring up the product page with product title, price, images and description (which is retrived from the product page of WooCommerce) together with a “Buy now” button.

Click the “Buy now” button will link to the product page of WooCommerce again, means the visitor will see the same product information twice (maybe some extra info in the product page of WooCommerce), which is quite confusion.

Suggest the “Buy now” button should act as “add to cart” instead of link to product page for quick shopping, or make it optional for admin, if link to product page is needed.

    Hello @johocen168

Thank you for contacting us, The web story is private and it’s behind a password we can’t access it.

Regarding WooCommerce, WooCommerce is not yet fully compatible, but it can be configured to work at a basic level.

    1) I will suggest disabling AMP on cart and checkout pages

    2) Update cart behavior settings to redirect on adding a product in cart and disabling Ajax add to cart check on from Archive.

Additionally, I will suggest using the AMP Enhancer plugin, it can help you in addressing some Incompatibilities in WoCommerce.

In case your issues are specific to the Web Stories plugin we will recommend contacting the Web Stories Support

    We hope this is helpful!

Please update the link to the buy now button link to something like

    http://yourdomain.com/?add-to-cart=productID

Replace the productID in above link with Product ID, you can find your product ID on the product page.

    Hi @milindmore22

Another problem to be noticed…when clicking the “Buy now” button, linked to the product page, you will not see the product info as shown in the “Details” nor the “Add to cart”, only the rest of product info. This only happen on mobile device, desktop is no problem.

Just realized that the missing product info as shown in the “Details” and the “Add to cart”, is because AMP plugin setting.

I had deactivated the AMP plugin, wait for the compatibility issue with WooCommerce to be solved.

In the meantime, if there is anything I can be of help (testing or translation), please don’t be hesitate to shout.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello @johocen168

AMP plugin does not add or modify templates for WooCommerce, it should not have any impact on WooCommerce AMP Story attachment.

    We hope this is helpful!
