# Buttons missing from post editor

 * When I upgraded to 2.8.6 I noticed that a lot of the buttons in the editor are
   gone. I thought maybe I had not uploaded all the files so I did it again and

 * Deactivate all your plugins and see if the buttons come back. You’re seeing a
   classic example of javascript conflict.

 * If I deactivate them I will not lose settings on them right? As long as they 
   aren’t deleted?
