Support » Plugin: ShareThis Share Buttons » Buttons do not display properly on pages using Divi

I have the plugin installed and it is working OK on pages of my site that are not built using the Divi editor. However, on the site home page (URL provided) and any other pages that are built using Divi (the editor, not the theme) the share buttons are smushed together and not centered. I have intermittantly seen errors that the share URL is incorrect or not provided.

I’m not totally sure this is an issue with Divi; I’m just seeing it on pages that I know use the Divi builder. Every page I’ve checked that does not use it is displaying fine.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Currently Divi editor conflicts with our services, this website builder does not have full ShareThis support and could cause some issues with aesthetics or performance.

Actually I’ve reached out to Elegant Themes and they found the issue – it is some bad code specifically on the email button within Sharethis. I have a screenshot pointing out the issue exactly where it lies if you’d like me to send it.

    Hi there,

Our engineering team will be looking into this, for further reference could you please provide a screenshot for me to get a clear view of the problem?

    Thank you in advance,

I’d be happy to but I don’t appear to have the ability to add an attachment here.

I have a support ticket open but the reply I got was not clear and every time I email a response it comes back to me saying my ticket has been updated but with no additional text; I have no idea if anyone is seeing my replies.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply!

We will try to replicate this issue on our end, once we have a resolution we will let you know.

Note: we will also look at the ticket created under this topic.

I guess the “bad code” the Elegant Themes team was talking about, is not actually a fault in ShareThis’s plugin.

As you’ve mentioned the plugin didn’t “appear” properly, it clearly indicates that there must be something wrong with the CSS.

And as you’ve also mentioned that it works just fine on non-divi pages, then it means that the divi editor is injecting some css in those pages, which target the same selector that the ShareThis plugin uses, thus overwriting the css used in the sharethis pluggin.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience!

Hopefully, the Elegant Themes will update and allow this plugin to function properly without any CSS attributes affecting the behavior of the share buttons.

    Best,
