Buttonlink not popping out when triggered in Lightbox

    I’m using a timeline product called WP Timeline. I’ve enabled the lightbox function which allows the viewer to see individual timeline content in an expanded (lightbox) window. (Open any of the timeline entries that uses the Audio Album player). Unfortunately, the buttonlink on the player is behaving unexpectedly. Instead of opening a popup, it opens a new page, thereby shutting off any audio that was playing from the player. Any way around this?

    I can see the issue; it is probably caused by the audio player being within a lightbox. I have not tried this configuration before so I don’t know how I would expect it to behave and I don’t think I can suggest a way to get it to work as normal. The only thing I can suggest would be to look for a workaround that does not use the buttonlink in the audioplayer. eg use a link elsewhere on the page to show the lyrics either by means of a lightbox (I’m not sure whether that would work with the content already being in a lightbox) or to toggle visibility of a block of text – like a single section of an accordion.
