    We are using printomatic and I also tried to update to v2, with all your documentation. But somehow, the print-button is not doing anything when you click on it. What could it be?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hmmm… ok.
    It seems you are using elementor to create the page, but how exactly is the print-me shortcode being used? Two things would be helpful.
    1. Screenshot of how the shortcode is implemented
    2. the ID or Class of the element you wish to print.

    Regardless, we’ll get you sorted out quickly!

    My button doesnt work too, my shortcode is [print-me target=”head_logo, .recipe_content .print, .recipe_title, .recipe_details, .instructions” /], it used to work but not anymore.

    I ran a test, it works with a single element class but doesnt not work multi element anymore, please help! Thanks!

    @ke_house since your issue is not the same as this one, would you be so kind as to open a new thread? Be sure to include a link to the page so we can see what issues might be happening on your site.

    One issue that seems clear from the shortcode you posted:
    [print-me target="head_logo, .recipe_content .print, .recipe_title, .recipe_details, .instructions" /]
    is that ‘head_logo’ is not a valid html element. It seems likely a dot (.) or hash (#) is missing. Try changing it to #head_logo

    Exactly, we are using Elementor.
    Here you can find a video of how I implemented the shortcode to the single post template: https://www.loom.com/share/56964d062e2f40cc979c922e87c9f14a

    Hello @simea and thank you for the video. The shortcode seems correct, however what is being output on the front end is not:

    <div class="elementor-element ... elementor-widget-shortcode" data-id="8354a5c" data-element_type="widget" id="print-me-shortcode" data-widget_type="shortcode.default">
    	<div class="elementor-widget-container">
    		<div class="elementor-shortcode"></div>
    	</div>
    </div>

    From the video it seems the print-icon is being manually placed and then the shortcode assigned to the image? This is confusing. Can you do a test where the shortcode is inserted w/o any image element?

    Basically, there are two options:
    1. use the shortcode as the trigger (standard)
    2. use the image as an external trigger for a hidden shortcode as described in the following posts:
    https://spacedonkey.de/2400/print-o-matic-external-buttons/
    https://spacedonkey.de/4188/print-o-matic-external-print-trigger-target-by-class/

    Please let us know if that helps, or if further assistance is needed.

    Hi

    Yes, that is the case. The custom icon was placed in css via ::before.
    Weirdly, that has been working for over a month…
    But now I added it the way it is saying on your docs and it is working again 🙂 Thanks!

    You are most welcome. Glad to see everything is working again.
    Thank you for marking the issue as resolved. If you are happy with the plugin or it’s support, consider leaving a little review!
