I’m working on a local install and setting the colors and text settings in Customizer worked perfectly, but for some reason it has no effect on buttons. I’d like to be able to set them in customizer so new buttons come up correctly for other users and each button doesn’t have to be changed.

If that’s not possible I can set it in CSS, but I just wanted to see if it should be working since button color is a setting in Customizer.

(Also feature request: I’d love an option for border in the future if you want to consider it so ghost buttons could be possible. 🙂 )

  • Hi @wendy_d,

Elementor plugin does not apply the <button> tag to their buttons. Instead of that it uses <span> tag. If you inspect the button dragged from Elementor you will see a <span> tag used – https://cl.ly/b3c2bd363374

While Astra customizer settings for the button are applied to the <button> tag only. So these settings will not be applied to Elementor buttons as it does not contain the <button> tag.

We do have this thing on our list and we might work on this in future.

Regarding feature request – Thanks for the suggestion. We have added it to our feature requests list.
