Button Alignment

Hi. Thanks for the compliments and thanks for making a perfect test page.

To answer the question first. The post Installer button goes down because of two reasons. First the top padding is different, and second the text is on one line, the two others have a line break. It feels a bit strange, but this is how HTML and browser allocate their spacing in these cases.

If you want to see this for yourself you can check your browser developers screen ( F12 ) and see HTML -> Layout to see the sizes of it all.

To fix it I’d recommend a few approaches :

– In the plugin you can specify height and width ( under dimensions ). That should already solve some problems.

– In the plugin you can use the same button but with different text and link like this:

[maxbutton id="1" text="Google" url="http://google.com"]

and replace the values with what you want. This will also help consistency and it’s a lot less work when you have only one button.

And lastly if this all doesn’t work you can try to put it in a container, but this might cause other issues. The container option is found in the button editor ( under ‘container’, there is a ‘use container’ checkbox ).

I’m not sure if containers are going to help in this case. The main issue you are facing is that the buttons should be large enough to contain two or three lines of text. That’s a combination of the height and probably removing the bottom padding if any ( can interfer, just the top and left to position the text ) .

Unfortunately that probably means the buttons with little text will have a large square with nothing.
