  • I’m using the theme page-style 1.4. It’s bullet points are messed up in two ways:

    1. It doesn’t show the numbers in the bullet points. At all.

    2. When doing regular bullet points, it centers the bullet point in the middle of the paragraph instead of the beginning. Here’s an example: here

    Can anyone explain to me how to fix this in future and past posts? (As in if I fix the stylesheet or where ever will it automatically fix the past posts?

  • Find this in your stylesheet /wp-content/themes/{themename}/style.css
    (line 64)

    .entry ul li {
    background:transparent url(img/ol.gif) no-repeat scroll left center;
    padding:0 0 0 15px;

    change the word center to top and the bullets will be at the top.

    If you want to refine their location more, change left center to
    0% 0% and start playing. The first 0% is left-right, the second is top-bottom. so you can say 0% 1% or 0% 3% etc

    Thanks! That fixed the centered bullets issue.

    Still looking for help on how to get the numbered bullets to show up.

    change the UL in your code to OL that is the letter O

    UL = unordered list OL = ordered list ordered=numbered

    It is OL and still does not show once posted. It shows while writing the post, but not once published. When it’s published it shows neither numbers or bullets.

    The only OL I see in your site is the comments list. If that’s what you are referring to, numbering the comments, start by adding this to your stylesheet – put it at the end:

    ol.commentlist li {
    list-style-type: decimal;
    width: 90%;
    margin: 0 auto;

    No not numbering the comments, using numbered bullet points inside a post. I don’t use numbered bullets because it doesn’t show so you won’t see it on my site.

    if its the same site as above, try this – put it at the bottom

    .entry ol { list-style-type: decimal; }

    It has that already. This is what it says:

    .entry p {margin-bottom:0.5em;overflow:hidden;}
    .entry ol {padding: 0 0 0 35px;list-style-type:decimal;}
    .entry ul {list-style-type:none;}

    Maybe there is something else I need to change in there?
