    Hi there!

    – WordPress core, all plugins and themes on our site are always updated to the latest version
    – There are no other plugins on our site that work with images anymore (optimization, compress, resize, etc)

    Problem description:
We chose your plugin because it provides the best image optimization option (the smallest final file size with the least loss of quality), and we are really happy with this!
There are a huge number of images on our site (more than 5000) for each of which there are many thumbnails.
And we need to optimize them all.
When we try to use bulk optimization in a media library, AND only a few images (less than 10) can be optimized, even if 20, 30 or more images were marked. So we have to repeat this procedure many, many times.
Take into account the total number of images, I’m afraid to imagine how long it will take.

A similar problem has already been described by another user in this ticket:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/bulk-compress-limit/
Please let us know the values of which PHP parameters we need to provide, to update them.

By the way, when we tried using the Smush plugin earlier, we could start optimizing all the images (>5000) with one click, and the process did not stop until all the images were optimized (more than 15 hours)
Why, in the case of using a Smush plugin, the PHP configuration did not affect the work of bulk optimization?

    Thanks!!!

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us, I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing some issues compressing your images.

If I understand you correctly, are you selecting multiple images in the Media Library and then trying to compress them as a bulk action? While that is workable for a couple of images, we have actually created a dedicated page for bulk compression. It is in the menu under Media > Bulk Optimization. On that page you only have to click on one button for all of your images to be compressed (of course it can take a long time).

Let me know if you have any questions regarding this or if we understood your question incorrectly!

    @tinypng ,

Wow! That’s great, thanks for the quick response and sorry we didn’t notice it! 🙂

After the start of bulk optimization, should we stay on this page until completion? Or can we close the tab and the browser?

    Hi!

When using the bulk optimization tool, you will need to keep this page open. Don’t worry if you accidentally closed the window or stopped the process midway. You can just open the tool again and continue where you left off.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any additional questions!
