Is there a way to bulk edit the titles/meta descriptions in one place/editor?

    Hello Oksana!

    I hope you’re doing well!

WordPress has a bulk editor implemented; you can find this in the list overview table, where there’s a dropdown menu at the top-left. We’re going to implement support for bulk-editing via the WordPress interface in the next update.

For background information, please see Google’s guidelines on these two tags:

With that in mind, we will not be adding title and meta-description support in the bulk-editor. This is because these tags should be unique for every page, and your site will be penalized when they are the same.

Is there a reason why you want them all to be the same?

    Hello Sybre,

    Thank you for your reply!

I think I used the wrong term to describe the feature. I don’t want the titles and meta descriptions to be the same, I thought more about the interface that shows all my pages titles/descriptions and I could edit them there without opening the page and navigation to the meta box. Like a bird’s-eye view of the website pages SEO.

    Hello Oksana,

    Cheers 🙂

We’re not planning on filling up your dashboard with more verbose information beyond this point–I believe the SEO Bar is sufficient in this; and, checking the input data is only a click away.

That said, we will be expanding the SEO Bar. We’ll be adding an API soon for it, whereafter we (and other developers) can expand on that.

In the next update, quick-editing tools will be available for TSF. With those, you can change the robots meta tags, the canonical URL, and the redirect URL. Alas, you can’t change the meta-title and description.

We planned on adding the description and title fields via the WordPress quick-editing interface. Unfortunately, as described in the v4.0 release announcement, we were technically limited: We couldn’t reproduce the pixel/character counters faultlessly, nor the “floating” prefixes and affixes for the title. This would make for inconsistent user experiences, for something elsewhere so well polished.

Nevertheless, I’ll be looking into this for a future update. I’ve opened a feature request for you: Feel free to subscribe to the issue to get updates on the progression. Cheers!

    Hi Oksana,

I am working on a plugin that will solve exactly that kind of problems!
If you think that is related to your problem, or you like the idea, give us a shot at Thanks!
