Bulk Edit Page Feature Image (3 posts)

My goal is to set a header image for certain pages.
I'd like to be able to set a featured image for several pages at once from within the Dashboard. The process would be to select several pages in the WordPress Dashboard and then under Bulk Actions select Edit. The image could be selected from here.

The other option would be to code an if statement somehow. If page root ID = x then set feature image to a, if page root ID = y then set feature image to b, else set feature image to c.
Using this method I think I would run into issues with posts because I don't want the feature post image ever to display in the header.

Is there a way to do either of these two methods?

Hmm, I wrote a plugin to bulk set featured images. Take a look at http://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-featured-images/

If you use it multiple times for each condition like "parent page = x" you would reach your goal.

While using the plugin: If you want to set an image as a featured image at pages select the "post type filter" and change the affected post type from posts to pages.
