Built-in FTP

    OK, been a while since i have been here but i am having a problem using the built-in ftp in wordpress. I first am trying to update wordpress to 3.0.4. I enter in the host, username and password and click proceed, then receive:
    Unable to locate WordPress Root directory.
    Installation Failed
    Our wordpress in locally hosted on SLES10 with vsftp installed and working. I have googled and searched here for the answer, nothing found. Can anyone help me get this working?
