"Building Package" running forever

    I am trying to duplicator on my sister’s site. She is a photographer so her site has lots of large images. Her entire site size is about 3.8 GB but when I start the duplicator plugin, I used the filters to exclude the /wp-content/uploads folder which was about 1.8 GB. This should put the site under any potential 2 GB size limit but the step of “Building Package” just runs forever. I didn’t think it was a timeout issue because I assumed I would get an error message if that was the case but not positive. Any useful advice/tips? Thank you!

    Hey @msewe001,

    If your on a shared/budget host it may have issues with this much data. You can always monitor the wp-snapshots/tmp folder with an FTP client and refresh the window periodically to see if the archive is still growing (processing).

    Also on the FAQ page there are some workarounds for larger sites, but they don’t always work on every environment…

    @msewe001,

    Was Duplicator working at some point but started failing recently (upgrade to WP 3.9 or 3.9.1)? Just checking as mine exhibits the same thing but only since an update in WP at my end.
