  • I’m building a WordPress site locally using XAMPP. I’d like to transfer everything I have to a new computer. I tried just doing my site’s folder within htdocs but it didn’t work. I also tried tranferring the entire xampp folder. When I did that, MySQL wouldn’t open up on the new computer.

Does anyone know an easy way to do this?

  • You have to copy all the wordpress folder and you have to make one export of the mysql database (the wordpress tables), after you have to paste the folder in the new computer and import the sql file from the export.
If you have some different configuration, you have to edit the config.php file, and if for ex if you change the url you have to change the values in the database data.

If not i think you will find some plugin for make backup/export of your wordpress site.
